Marie Tallman is a true New Englander.

Born and raised in Somersworth, New Hampshire, she grew up and attended local schools before setting out to seek a career and adventure in the United States Air Force.  Stationed at Lackland AFB in Texas, she met her husband and raised three boys.  After 17 years of longing to return to her roots, she was able to return to New England with her family - buying a house in her home town of Somersworth.

Once again around all of her many nieces and nephews, Marie put to good use a skill she had picked up as a hobby early on - baking and cake-making.  When the first to marry requested that "Aunt Marie" make their wedding cake, little did she know that she was Marie's Treats' first special client!

It quickly became family tradition to have Marie make all the wedding cakes for the family, and as word spread, family friends and acquaintances were quick to reserve their special requests too!  And so grew Marie's Treats.

Today Marie puts her many years of experience to work in creating truly spectacular (and delicious) creations for brides all over New England.  Marie's Treats are a one-of-a-kind New England specialty, as she creates each and every wedding cake with special care and a wonderful eye for presentation.
